FSpeed is a Windows program for calculating Wright's coefficient of inbreeding very, very quickly.

FSpeed Pro to calculate the inbreeding coefficient to 16 generations for every dog in a database of Dalmatians - some 72,500 dogs - and it took just 2 minutes 44 seconds for the entire database.

This was a database of most UK registered Dalmatians dating back over 100 years, a relatively closed population with extensive inbreeding typical of a pedigreed population.
Inbreeding occurs when an individual has one or more common ancestors. A common ancestor is one that is present on both sides of the pedigree.
